Chennai Super Kings fast bowler along with 12 other support staff suffer from corona

New Delhi: With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 set to take place on September 14, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fast bowlers and their 12-member Karona have already been hit in Dubai.

All members of the Chennai Super Kings who have tested positive for covid-19 are in stable condition and have been kept in isolation. The CSK is said to be following all safety protocols as per the directives of the Board of Health of the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI).

Members of the Chennai Super Kings have completed a mandatory four-day quarantine period in Dubai but have not been able to reach the training ground. However, other teams, including Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab, have already started training on the field. The entire CSK squad has now been quarantined at a hotel in Dubai after CSKA fast bowler Kairona was attacked.

While neither the CSK nor the BCCI has confirmed the news so far, sources said that support staff and members of the social media team during their camp in Chennai are suspected to have been infected with the virus.
