Dream 11 is the title sponsor of the 2020 'IPL'

New Delhi: Dream 11 is the sponsor of the 2020 IPL title. The BCCI has called for tenders to sponsor the new title. Many Indian companies were in the forefront of sponsoring the IPL4 title. These included Tata Sansh, Patanjali Ayurveda, Baijus, Anka Academy and the online gaming website Dream4 11. However, IPL chairman Bijesh Patel said that the online gambling website Dreams 11 had handed over Rs 222 crore to the BCCI and handed over the IPL title sponsor.

Vivo, the Chinese mobile phone maker, has dropped out of the IPL's title sponsorship this year. This has been the case under the Vivo-BCCI secret agreement after strong opposition to Chinese goods in the country following the Indo-China border dispute. The IPL will be played in the UAE from September 19 this year. The BCCI was looking for another title sponsor for this edition.

While Vivo pays Rs 440 crore annually to the BCCI, no company will pay that much to sponsor a title for just four months. However, 50/60 per cent of it will also be acceptable to the BCCI. The BCCI has called for tenders for the promotion of the new title.
