Heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected in many parts for odisha

Bhubaneswar: The monsoon has now spread to Ferozepur, Katihal, Moradabad, Gonda, Gaya, Shantiniketan, Canning and from there to the southeast to the Bay of Bengal. In addition, a north-south Truffle Line, located 3.1 km above sea level, flows from Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and North West Bengal from North Bihar to the Bay of Bengal in West Bengal.

The Bhubaneswar-based meteorological center has forecast a low pressure area in the northwestern Bay of Bengal and neighboring areas by tomorrow (Thursday) due to the effects of the above two systems.

As a result, there is a possibility of light to moderate rains in many parts of the state from today to the next 17 days. Malkangiri, Nuapada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Bargarh and one or two places in Balangir district are likely to receive heavy rains in the next 24 hours from this afternoon.

Similarly, thunderstorms are likely in Anugul, Dhenkanal, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Cuttack and Puri districts during this period.
