India has canceled 44 semi-high-speed train deals with Chinese companies

New Delhi: India has given another blow to China. India has now canceled the contract for 44 semi-high-speed express trains after the closure of the Chinese app. The Indian Railways has said it will re-tender for this.

According to sources, the tender was issued last year. The deal was signed last month by JV, a joint venture with China. Only CRR Pioneer Electric India Pvt. Ltd. was eligible among the six applicants.

According to the agreement, the contract was made for 44 Bande Bharat trains with 16 coaches of the company. In 2015, JV was formed by China’s CRRC Yongji Electric Company Limited and Gurugram-based Pioneer Phil-Made Pvt.
