New Delhi: Metro rail services in the country may resume operations, according to government sources.

The Home Ministry will soon release the fourth phase of the Unlocked Guidelines, which may allow metro rail services to resume, government sources said. "Modality" is being prepared and SOPs will be issued. However, Unlock 4.0, which starts on September 1, is expected to open schools and colleges immediately.

All bars that are not yet open may be allowed to open. However, customers will only be allowed to purchase and bring wine from the bar counter.

Yesterday, Chief Minister Kejriwal urged the central government to run Metro Rail in Delhi, even if not in the country. Responding to his request, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said that the Delhi Metro was ready to start operations as soon as it received government permission.
