One test for government and bank jobs

New Delhi: One general test will be held for all government and bank exams. This is called the Common Eligibility Test (CET) or General Eligibility Test. A special National Recruitment Agency (NRA) will be set up to conduct the test. The proposal was approved by the Union Cabinet today.

The National Employment Agency will conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) to select Group B and C employees. The NRA will include representatives from the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Finance, the SSB, the RRB and the IBPS. The NRA will conduct the test in a transparent and scientific manner. Each district in the country will have NRA test centers.

As a result, young people who are looking for employment can benefit. Because of one test, the test taker does not have to spend time on various tests. The CET score will be valid for three years. Candidates can take multiple exams to improve their score.
