New Delhi: Gandhi Jayanti is observed every year on 2nd October, Indians around the world commemorate the birth of the Father of Our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869, in Gujarat’s Porbandar , Mahatma Gandhi also known as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi adopted non-violent resistance and was in the forefront of the freedom struggle against the colonial British rule.
