India lost Rs 1.25 lakh crore last year due to cyber crimes

The country has lost Rs 1.25 lakh crore due to cyber crimes in 2019. National Cyber ​​Security Coordinator Lt Gen Dr Rajesh Pant said on Tuesday that with the development of smart city and 5G network, the cyber threat in the country will increase further.

Pant said, there are very few indigenous companies in the country making cyber security products. There is a lot of shortage in this area. Expressing concern over the issue, he called upon the government to set up a dedicated industry platform to ensure cyber security. So that cyber security equipment is produced in the country and such attacks can be avoided. For this, we do not have to depend on outside technology. They asked the government to make cyber security products.
