Metro train to start in Mumbai from October 15, Maharashtra government also allowed to open library

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has decided to allow Metro trains (Mumbai Metro) to operate in Mumbai in a phased manner from October 15, under its campaign 'Begin Again'. As per the guidelines issued here, the Maharashtra government also allowed the reopening of all government and private libraries from Thursday for which COVID-19 protocol related guidelines have to follow.

Along with this, the government also allowed industry exhibitions outside the prohibited areas from yesterday. Local weekly markets will also be allowed to reopen outside prohibited areas, including animal markets. Markets and shops will be allowed to open two additional hours from tomorrow to 9:00 pm with the aim of reducing the crowds.

The government has decided to stop stamping indelible ink for domestic passengers coming to various airports after the Covid-19 investigation. Similarly, checking of the health of passengers at railway stations and stamping on them will also be stopped.
