After Bihar debacle, Rahul Gandhi flies to Jaisalmer for ‘holiday’

New Delhi: Despite Congress’s disappointing performance in the Bihar assembly election, Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her kids will be reaching Jaisalmer in Rajasthan for a two-day personal visit on Wednesday.

According to media reports, the Gandhi scion will be reaching Jaisalmer by a private plane. The plane is scheduled to reach the civil airport in Jaisalmer at around 6:30. His visit has been wrapped under secrecy.

It has been said that officials involved in the security paraphernalia of Rahul Gandhi had reached Jaisalmer on Tuesday to review the security situation.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to return to Delhi on Friday after spending two days in Jaisalmer.

Meanwhile, the Congress managed to win only 19 of the 70 seats it contested in the Bihar assembly elections. The party was in alliance with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in the state.
