Lalu Yadav is making phone calls to ‘buy’ NDA MLAs, alleges Sushil Modi

New Delhi: A day before the newly formed Bihar Legislative Assembly is expected to elect it’s new speaker, Senior Bihar BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has alleged that jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is trying to poach National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MLAs in Bihar in a bid to topple the newly-elected Nitish Kumar government.

Sushil Modi took to Twitter to make this sensational assertion

He tweeted, “Lalu Yadav making telephone call (8051216302) from Ranchi to NDA MLAs & promising ministerial berths. When I telephoned, Lalu directly picked up. I said don’t do these dirty tricks from jail, you will not succeed,”

Sushil Modi shared the audio

Meanwhile, reacting to the development, JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said that there is nothing else left to prove that Lalu Prasad Yadav is a ‘habitual criminal’.

Yadav was shifted to the residence of the director of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital, where he had been admitted for months owing to poor health, to prevent exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

Yadav, who has been in prison since December 2017, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment in 2018 under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and seven years under the Prevention of Corruption Act in connection with the fodder scam case.
