Actor Rajnikanth says “I don’t have plans to enter politics in future”, dissolves Rajini Makkal Mandram

New Delhi: Actor Rajnikanth on Monday said that he had no plans of entering politics and dissolved Rajini Makkal Mandram.
He said, “I don’t have plans to enter politics in future.”
He announced that Rajini Makkal Mandram will be dissolved and the members will now continue doing public welfare activities through Rajinikanth Rasigar Narpani Mandram.
“After I announced that I won’t be entering politics, I was not able to meet Makkal Mandram office bearers or fans because Annaathe shooting got delayed, elections happened and later the pandemic broke out. Then, I went to the US for my medical check-up and came,” Rajnikanth said.
The superstar had announced his entry into politics in 2017, at a time when Tamil Nadu faced a vacuum after the demise of AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa and ailing DMK chief M Karunanidhi.
