Actor Tom Alter passes away

Actor Tom Alter passed away aged 67. He died on 29 September at his residence in Mumbai. He was diagnosed with Stage IV skin cancer (squamous cell carcinoma).

He also worked in Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil and Kumaoni films. His last film was “Sargoshiyan” with Alok Nath and Farida Jalal, released in May 2017. He was awarded Padma Shri in 2008 for his services in the field of arts and cinema.
