China launches world’s first hybrid electric tram

October 31, 2017: China launches world’s first hybrid electric tram powered by hydrogen fuel cells in Tangshan city, China. It does not produce any nitrogen oxides (NOx) and carbon. ecologically-friendly tram without much pollution.

The tram, having three carriages with 66 seats and can run for 40 kilometers at a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour after being refilled with 12 kilograms of hydrogen.
