Visakhapatnam gas leakage : Over 10 people dead and 5000 sick


A major accident occurred due to a gas leak at a plastic factory in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh this morning. So far 7 people have died in the gas leaking incident. This incident of gas leakage occurred in a factory in RR Venkatapuram village in Visakhapatnam. At least seven people, including a child, have died after a styrene (Styrene) gas leak in the LG Polymer Industry of RR Venkatapuram village. According to the Director General of NDRF, 6,000 people are currently hospitalized.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a meeting of NDMA (National Disaster Management Authority) in view of the situation in Visakhapatnam. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are also present in this meeting.
