SAP to Hire 1,000 Employees in India in 2023

Multinational software giant SAP is set to bolster its workforce in India, planning to hire almost 1,000 employees in the country this year. According to a senior executive from the company, SAP Labs India Managing Director and Senior Vice President Sindhu Gangadharan, the new recruits will include professionals skilled in finance, sustainability, human experience management, and artificial intelligence.

India, home to SAP's offices in Bengaluru and Gurugram, is the company's fastest-growing market, serving nearly 4.5 lakh customers worldwide. The company has long maintained a significant presence in India, where it has a team of over 14,000 employees.

In addition to the planned recruitment drive, SAP is also aiming to open a new campus in Bengaluru by 2025 with a workforce of around 15,000 employees. The move is part of the company's broader strategy to expand its operations in India, which has become an increasingly important market for SAP in recent years.

Commenting on the company's plans, Gangadharan noted that "India is an important market for SAP, and we continue to invest in the country, driven by the growth opportunities that we see here." She added that the company's new campus in Bengaluru would be a "center of excellence" for SAP, focusing on innovation and customer engagement.

SAP's expansion in India comes amid a broader push by the company to diversify its offerings and expand its reach globally. The company, which specializes in enterprise software and cloud solutions, has been investing heavily in new technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as exploring new markets and partnerships.

As SAP continues to grow and expand, India is likely to remain a key part of its strategy. With its large and growing pool of skilled professionals, as well as its dynamic and rapidly evolving business environment, India offers SAP significant opportunities for growth and innovation in the years ahead.
